Summary: The Interim Financial Controller will lead the financial operations of a dynamic organization in Hemel Hempstead, with a strong potential for permanent placement. The successful candidate will oversee the finance team and implement robust financial controls while preparing financial statements and managing budgeting processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including cash flow planning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
- Oversee the financial operations of the organisation, providing strategic financial insights to senior management.
- Supervise and develop the finance team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and adherence to deadlines.
- Act as a point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems.
- Support senior leadership with data analysis and decision-making.
Key Skills:
- A recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant degree.
- Proven experience in financial management and leadership, ideally within a UK-based organisation.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with SAP or similar platforms is a plus).
- Experience with international subsidiaries or multi-currency operations is advantageous.
- Ability to analyse and manipulate complex data, including using pivot tables.
