Summary: The role of Interim Financial Controller involves supporting a Staffordshire-based manufacturing business during a transitional period, reporting directly to the Finance Director. The position requires a qualified accountant with experience in managing accounting functions and improving processes. The role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including financial performance monitoring and statutory reporting. This interim position is expected to last between 6 to 12 months, with an urgent need for the candidate to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of consolidated monthly accounts for the board, senior execs and banks
  • Monthly group forecasting
  • Manage the year end Budget
  • Analysis and scenario planning
  • Monitoring financial performance of the Group, providing analysis and commentaries
  • Reporting and variance analysis
  • Year end statutory accounts and taxation process, including liaison with the external auditors and tax advisors
  • Support mergers and acquisition activity including preparation of business cases, and integration of acquired entities
  • To oversee and deliver process improvement activities
  • Prepare and submit HMRC returns (PAYE & VAT) for the Group

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/Equivalent)
  • Experience in a manufacturing business

SF Recruitment are currently working with our Staffordshire based client in the recruitment of an Interim Financial Controller. Reporting to an exceptional Finance Director this interim will be tasked with supporting the business during a period of change. This role is ideally suited to a qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) candidate with experience of working with a manufacturing business. With responsibility for the management of the accounting function across our clients group this Interim Financial Controller role is broad with plenty of opportunity to add value, develop and improve processes.

Our client is seeking a qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/Equivalent) with exceptional ability to lead and develop a team and who can be relied upon to take responsibility for day-to-day finance matters and finance operations. This is an urgent requirement and requires a candidate in position ASAP. The contract is likely to last 6 - 12 months.
