Summary: Cedar is seeking an Interim Group Financial Controller for a 6-month contract in Central London, focusing on finance transformation within a PE-backed services business. The role demands expertise in managing complex multi-entity structures and improving finance processes while supporting operational and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Leading consolidated group reporting across a complex multi-entity structure, ensuring timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
- Improving month-end close processes, reporting timelines and overall finance function efficiency.
- Supporting ERP implementation, finance transformation and systems/process optimisation initiatives.
- Driving improvements in financial controls, governance and reporting consistency across the Group.
- Partnering with operational leadership to improve visibility around margins, working capital, cashflow and business performance.
- Supporting acquisition integration activity, including finance process alignment, reporting integration and post-deal stabilisation.
- Delivering board and investor reporting, including variance analysis, KPI reporting and cashflow forecasting.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning processes.
- Leading and mentoring finance teams through periods of change and organisational development.
- Supporting value creation initiatives around cash generation, operational efficiencies and finance scalability.
- Assisting with technical accounting, consolidation and multi-entity reporting requirements.
- Supporting any future fundraising, refinancing, due diligence or exit preparation activity where required.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA or equivalent).
- Strong experience operating as a Group FC or senior finance lead within PE-backed, high-growth or buy-and-build environments.
- Proven background within complex multi-entity international groups.
- Experience across finance transformation, ERP implementations and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong operational finance capability, including cashflow, working capital and commercial performance analysis.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving businesses with changing priorities.
- Previous exposure to M&A integration, PE reporting or exit-readiness activity would be highly advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner effectively with CFOs, operational leadership teams and investors.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic projects alongside day-to-day delivery.

The Role
As Interim Group Financial Consultant, responsibilities are likely to include:
- Leading consolidated group reporting across a complex multi-entity structure, ensuring timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
