The role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, with a dotted line to the Vice President of Finance, you will provide hands-on support across financial accounting, audit and group reporting.
Your responsibilities will include
- Supporting the UK and US audit processes
- Preparing audit schedules and responding to information requests
- Assisting with financial accounting and VAT matters
- Producing consolidated financial information and board reports
- Collating information from across the business
- Providing analysis and meaningful commentary
- Reviewing current reporting processes and identifying improvements
- Supporting the implementation and development of a new ERP system
- Exploring opportunities to use AI and automation within finance
- Providing support across transactional finance when required
- Potentially supervising members of the processing team
The ideal candidate
You will be a versatile finance professional who can quickly understand the business and provide support wherever it is most needed.
You may be newly qualified, a finalist or qualified by experience. More important is your practical financial accounting background and ability to operate effectively in a growing and changing environment.
You should have
- Broad financial accounting experience
- Experience supporting or working through an external audit
- Strong reporting and analytical skills
- Experience with VAT
- Exposure to consolidated or senior-level reporting
- An understanding of transactional finance processes
- Experience improving finance processes or reporting
- The ability to work independently in a predominantly remote role
What is on offer?
- Salary of £50,000 to £60,000, depending on experience
- An initial six-month fixed-term contract
