Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-demand and project-focused accounting services to clients.
  • Work alongside client finance teams in diverse organizations.
  • Engage in projects involving accounting and audit support, finance function remediation, and finance change programs.
  • Prepare half and full-year-end accounts, manage audit liaison, and prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Handle group accounts consolidation and intercompany accounting.
  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts and audits, and ensure financial reporting compliance under various GAAP standards.

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience in a company with an annual turnover of at least £50m, preferably within a listed FTSE business or Top 20 practice.
  • Proficient in half and full-year-end accounts preparation and audit liaison.
  • Knowledge of group accounts consolidation and intercompany accounting.

Joining us in CFO Solutions – Finance Placements

Grant Thornton’s CFO Solutions provides strategic, transformation and execution support for CFOs, through multiple services including finance consultancy, finance placements, business process outsourcing and technical accounting advice. The Finance Placements team focuses on providing an on-demand and project-focused accounting service, deploying individuals and teams of interim finance professionals into our clients’ finance functions to help them through periods of challenge or change.

Whilst on a project, you will typically work alongside the finance team of one of our clients in diverse organizations from all industry sectors ranging from larger SMEs to multi-billion corporations and listed entities.

If you’re an experienced Interim Financial Accountant who’s tired of choosing between freedom and meaningful work, there’s another route. Skills we are looking for

Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.

Experience working within Industry, in a company with an annual turnover of a minimum of £50m+, ideally within a listed FTSE business and/or Top 20 practice within financial/statutory accounting capacity.

Experience of half and full-year-end accounts preparation, audit liaison and preparation of monthly management accounts.

Group Accounts Consolidation and Intercompany accounting.

Financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.

Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.
