Description
We are working with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team on an initial three-month interim assignment.
This role has been created to provide additional support during a particularly busy period and offers the opportunity to contribute both to day-to-day financial operations and a range of ongoing projects.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on finance professional who is equally comfortable managing routine financial accounting responsibilities as they are supporting wider business initiatives and improvement projects.
The role requires someone who can quickly establish credibility, work independently, and add value from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reporting.
- Maintaining robust balance sheet controls and reconciliations.
- Assisting with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Supporting audit activity and responding to auditor queries.
- Contributing to finance improvement initiatives and project-based work.
- Providing additional capacity across the finance function as required during a busy operational period.
About You
- Qualified accountant, with a preference for ACA qualification.
- Strong technical financial accounting knowledge.
- Previous experience operating within a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable balancing detailed day-to-day financial responsibilities with wider project work.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
