Summary: The role of Interim Financial Accountant involves supporting the UK finance operations of a globally recognized media organization for a temporary period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead statutory reporting and group consolidations
- Partner with Finance and wider stakeholders to provide insight, challenge and decision support
- Drive the external audit process, ensuring a smooth and well-managed year-end delivery
- Deliver monthly reporting and variance analysis to support performance and strategic decision making
- Support month-end close, reconciliations and core reporting cycles in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including systems and process improvements
- Ensure accuracy, integrity and compliance across reporting, controls and tax support activities
- Provide ad hoc analysis and commercial insight to support business needs
Key Skills:
- ACA/CAANZ/CA qualified from the big 4 or top 10 with 2-3+ years post-qualified experience
- Background in practice or industry with strong exposure to financial statements and audits (Big 4 desirable)
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented and intellectually curious
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage across multiple stakeholders
- Able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Must be able to start immediately or within 2 weeks
