Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-demand and project-focused accounting services to clients.
  • Prepare half and full-year-end accounts and manage audit liaison.
  • Consolidate group accounts and handle intercompany accounting.
  • Ensure financial reporting compliance under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts and audits.
  • Engage with clients to deliver strategic finance consultancy and transformation support.

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience in a company with an annual turnover of £50m+, preferably within a listed FTSE business or Top 20 practice.
  • Expertise in financial/statutory accounting, including accounts preparation and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of group accounts consolidation and intercompany accounting.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting under various GAAP standards.
  • Experience in preparing year-end statutory accounts and audits.

Grant Thornton's CFO Solutions provides strategic, transformation and execution support for CFOs, through multiple services including finance consultancy, finance placements, business process outsourcing and technical accounting advice. The Finance Placements team focuses on providing an on-demand and project-focused accounting service, deploying individuals and teams of interim finance professionals into our clients' finance functions to help them through periods of challenge or change.

Skills we are looking for

  • Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experience working within Industry, in a company with an annual turnover of a minimum of £50m+, ideally within a listed FTSE business and/or Top 20 practice within financial/statutory accounting capacity.
  • Experience of half and full-year-end accounts preparation, audit liaison and preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Group Accounts Consolidation and Intercompany accounting.
  • Financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
  • Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.
  • You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with industry and/or practice experience.
