Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-demand and project-focused accounting services to clients.
- Work alongside client finance teams in various organizations.
- Support finance functions during periods of challenge or change.
- Engage in projects related to accounting and audit support, finance function remediation, and finance change programs.
- Prepare half and full-year-end accounts and manage audit liaison.
- Handle group accounts consolidation and intercompany accounting.
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts and financial reporting under various GAAP standards.
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience in a company with an annual turnover of £50m+, preferably within a listed FTSE business or Top 20 practice.
- Proficient in financial/statutory accounting.
- Experience in preparing monthly management accounts.
- Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
- Experience in preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.

Joining us in CFO Solutions – Finance Placements
Grant Thornton’s CFO Solutions provides strategic, transformation and execution support for CFOs, through multiple services including finance consultancy, finance placements, business process outsourcing and technical accounting advice. The Finance Placements team focuses on providing an on-demand and project-focused accounting service, deploying individuals and teams of interim finance professionals into our clients’ finance functions to help them through periods of challenge or change.
Whilst on a project, you will typically work alongside the finance team of one of our clients in diverse organizations from all industry sectors ranging from larger SMEs to multi-billion corporations and listed entities.
Joining the Agile Talent Community as an Interim Financial Accountant, you will have the freedom to work on projects that you choose, whether full or part-time within the CFO Solutions team and support our clients and internal teams on short to medium-term assignments. These projects are very varied, encompassing a wide range of skills and organisations within the private sector, including accounting and audit support, finance function remediation, and supporting finance change programs.
Skills we are looking for
Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
Experience working within Industry, in a company with an annual turnover of a minimum of £50m+, ideally within a listed FTSE business and/or Top 20 practice within financial/statutory accounting capacity.
Experience of half and full-year-end accounts preparation,,audit liaison and preparation of monthly management accounts.
Group Accounts Consolidation and Intercompany accounting.
Financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.
