HW Interim Solutions are working with a financial services client who are looking to engage an Interim Financial Accountant. As Interim Financial Accountant and reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in the financial reporting process, working closely with various teams to deliver timely and accurate financial information. Key Responsibilities:Oversee the monthly financial closing process, ensuring all activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, are completed accurately and on time.Lead and manage the year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare annual statutory accounts Manage and liaise audit processes, being the key point of contact for queries.Generate and present monthly management information reports, including Board presentations and special requests.Draft technical accounting papers to support significant accounting policies and decisions.Ensure compliance with internal deadlines and reporting standards.Prepare essential data for VAT and Corporation tax returns for external parties.Contribute to the development of financial policies that align with evolving governance and control requirements.This position is offered on a day rateThe successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
