Interim Financial accountant

We are partnering with a growing organisation in South London that is looking to appoint an Interim Finance Assistant to join their collaborative and supportive finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an immediately available finance professional with strong transactional finance experience to make an impact within a busy and evolving environment. The successful candidate will work closely with a high performing finance team, gaining exposure across a broad range of finance processes while supporting the wider function during an exciting period of growth. This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and enjoys working in a fast paced environment where they can contribute to the continued success of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales invoices accurately.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month end activities, including accruals and prepayments.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries.
• Maintain accurate finance records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with payment runs and accounts payable processes.
• Support sales ledger and customer account reconciliations.
• Provide general finance administration support to the wider finance team.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of transactional finance processes.
• Good Excel skills and experience using finance systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Enhanced DBS check highly advantageous
