Interim Financial Accountant | 60,000 - 65,000 | 6-Month FTC | Hybrid - Bradford Are you a hands-on financial accountant who enjoys getting into the detail - unpicking accounts, solving problems, and leaving things in a far better place than you found them? If you like working independently, digging into messy balance sheets, and treating the numbers like a puzzle to be solved, this could be right up your street. We're partnering with a growing business based in Bradford. The business is going through a period of systems and reporting change, with a new finance system going live in February, a change in auditors, and a need to get the balance sheet into a really robust, investor-ready position. This is a standalone, project-focused interim role where experience, judgement, and attention to detail matter far more than hierarchy or headcount. The Role You'll step in as the go-to financial accountant, taking ownership of balance sheet integrity, audit readiness, and system-related clean-up work. Balance Sheet Clean-Up: Getting the December balance sheet into a strong, position - reconciling, reviewing, and making the numbers make sense to an investor. Detail & Reconciliation: Unpicking historical postings, reviewing allocations between practices, and ensuring balances are fully understood and supported. Audit Support: Managing the auditor transition and looking after the audit process. Schedules & Support: Producing high-quality schedules to sit behind closing balances and statutory numbers. Systems & Projects: Supporting the go-live of a new system and dealing with ad-hoc project work as issues arise.
