Summary: The Interim Finance Transformation Analyst will support a major Corporate Services Transformation Programme within the higher education sector for a 6-month contract. This role focuses on providing senior-level financial modelling and commercial insights to aid strategic decision-making, particularly regarding outsourcing and operating model evaluations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing evidence-based financial cases for governance decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost-benefit analyses comparing in-house, hybrid and outsourced delivery models
  • Build detailed financial scenarios, including ROI, NPV, payback and Total Cost of Ownership models
  • Establish and validate current cost baselines across in-scope services
  • Design financial inputs for PQQ and RFP documentation, including pricing templates
  • Evaluate supplier financial proposals, identifying assumptions, risks and long-term implications
  • Model transition, mobilisation and exit costs across full contract lifecycles
  • Conduct sensitivity and stress testing across pricing and volume assumptions
  • Support pricing mechanism design (FTE-based, transaction-based, outcome-based models)
  • Benchmark supplier pricing and assess financial risk exposure
  • Produce clear, executive-level financial summaries for governance forums

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience supporting large transformation, outsourcing or procurement programmes
  • Advanced financial modelling capability
  • Experience designing and evaluating financial components of PQQ/RFP processes
  • Strong ability to interrogate and challenge supplier pricing structures
  • Confident stakeholder engagement at senior leadership level
  • Experience within complex public-sector or regulated environments
  • Exposure to shared services, managed services or large-scale outsourcing
