Summary: The Interim Finance System Implementation Project Manager will lead a critical finance systems integration programme for a high-growth professional services business in Greater Manchester. This role requires a seasoned professional to manage project delivery, budget, and stakeholder communication effectively. The position is hybrid, requiring one day per week in the office, and offers a competitive day rate. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance systems implementation and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a critical end-to-end finance systems integration programme taking full ownership of delivery across a complex, cross-functional environment
  • Take ownership for building and maintaining a detailed line-item programme plan ensuring all workstreams are clearly structured and tracked
  • Manage all elements of the project budget, ensuring strong financial control and accountability throughout
  • Deliver effective resource planning across the programme, aligning teams and timelines with key workshops and milestones
  • Coordinate and drive progress through weekly cross-functional workshops, extracting clear actions and ensuring momentum across all workstreams
  • Design and implement reporting finance frameworks and dashboards, providing clear visibility of progress to stakeholders
  • Take ownership of governance, including RAID logs, proactively identifying, managing, and escalating risks and issues to the Head of Transformation
  • Partner closely with data and system owners to ensure alignment and successful delivery
  • Provide clear, concise updates to the executive team, maintaining strong communication across all levels of the business

Key Skills:

  • A proven track record delivering complex end to end finance systems implementation or finance integration projects
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and hit the ground running
  • Strong governance, budgeting and project controls exposure
  • Previous PM experience at implementing one of the larger ERP systems

Salary (Rate): £600 daily

Interim Finance System Implementation Project Manager £550 – 600 per day (outside of IR35) 9 month role Greater Manchester location – hybrid of 1 day per week in the office (negotiable) Nigel Wright is delighted to be recruiting a Finance System Integration Project Manager for a high growth professional services business based in Greater Manchester. The business are in the midst of a finance transformation programme and require a high quality individual who can hit the ground running asap.

Specific duties include:

  • Lead a critical end-to-end finance systems integration programme taking full ownership of delivery across a complex, cross-functional environment
  • Take ownership for building and maintaining a detailed line-item programme plan ensuring all workstreams are clearly structured and tracked

Ideally candidates applying to the role will have:

  • Previous PM experience at implementing one of the larger ERP systems

The role can offer the successful candidate a day rate of £550 per day (outside of IR35). The individual ideally needs to be on site in Manchester 1 day per week (although this can be negotiable). Working hours are flexible and the business are ideally looking for an individual to start in the next 4 weeks.
