A Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Specialist to join our team and lead on the critical spend control measures for the council. As Interim Finance Specialist – Cost Saving, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and implementation of spend control governance, ensuring we achieve maximum value for money and drive cost-saving initiatives across the organisation.

  • Interim role with a competitive daily rate range of £600.00 – £650.00
  • 6-month contract
  • Work closely with the Interim Commercial Director and Finance Business Partners
Preferred Requirements:

  • Proven track record in identifying financial and organisational opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies
  • Expertise in managing the spend control process, including comprehensive reporting and monitoring of savings across the organisation
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with finance teams of varying experience levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools, including a strong advantage in Power BI

Preferred Qualifications:
