Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accounts department to ensure efficient operations.
  • Meet all deadlines including month-end, year-end, VAT returns, reconciliations, and monthly management accounts.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the department and supervise staff.
  • Prepare management accounts and reports.
  • Oversee the annual financial audit.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE).
  • Experience working within SMEs, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Immediate availability.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Navision/Microsoft Dynamics.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Finance Manager to join a pharmaceutical SME in South Manchester. With a solid reputation, an immediately available and experienced individual is required to support the finance team on an initial short-term basis.

Your new role
Your new role as Finance Manager involves overseeing the accounts department to ensure it operates efficiently. You'll be responsible for meeting all deadlines, including month-end, year-end, VAT returns, reconciliations, and monthly management accounts. You'll manage the day-to-day activities of the department and supervise the staff. Additionally, you'll prepare management accounts and reports, and oversee the annual financial audit.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be suitably qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE). You'll have worked within SME's, with experience in a manufacturing environment and be immediately available. You possess excellent working knowledge of Navision/Microsoft Dynamics. You work effectively with colleagues to offer support, and maintain a cohesive team environment. By setting a good example, you influence others positively and have the ability to analyse the company's market position through trends, and contribute new ideas for development.
