Summary: The Interim Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations for a fast-growing retail business during a critical transition period. This hands-on role requires immediate availability and focuses on maintaining financial control and compliance across various functions. The position is offered as a 3-4 month contract and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile the balance sheet to ensure accuracy
  • Oversee payroll processes and manage relationships with external providers
  • Manage stock accounting and support inventory controls
  • Handle VAT returns and ensure ongoing compliance
  • Support month-end close and prepare management accounts
  • Manage and support the Accounts Payable Manager and AP function

Key Skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong finance experience within retail or hospitality sectors, ideally in a multisite environment
  • In-depth knowledge of core financial processes including stock, payroll, and VAT
  • Confident managing competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Immediately available or on short notice

Salary (Rate): 475
