Summary: The role of Interim Finance Manager involves overseeing monthly management reporting for the UK, group reporting for the parent company, and annual statutory reporting for an international energy client. This position requires a fully qualified accountant with strong experience in month-end and year-end processes, as well as proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial reporting systems. The contract is for an initial duration of six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the monthly accounting for trading P&L, primarily financial instruments, partnering with the Technical Accounting team
  • Own the P&L and Balance sheet reporting for month-end close
  • Coordinate quarterly group reporting schedules
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts and coordinate external audit engagement
  • Drive improvements to financial reporting processes and controls
  • Ad hoc tasks & analysis

Key Skills:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant
  • Strong month end and year end experience
  • Brilliant excel skills and ability to manipulate large datasets
  • Workday & Alteryx knowledge would be advantageous
