Summary: The role of Interim Finance Manager involves overseeing a small team responsible for the closedown of the statement of accounts and capital management for a local authority. Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee VAT and treasury functions.
- Contribute to the LGR process for capital and the statement of accounts.

Job Opportunity – Interim Finance Manager (Closedown/Capital) – 10 Months + A local authority client of mine are currently on the lookout for an Interim Finance Manager to join their team and manage a team of X3 members of staff who deal with overall closedown for the statement of accounts and capital. This position sits one beneath and would be reporting into the Chief Accountant. Contract Duration: 9-10 Months Rate: DOE IR35: Inside. Hybrid: X2 days in office per week is definitely the preference (may be some flexibility depending on candidates availability). Days: 5 Days per week. Start Date: July
Main Duties: Manage a small team of X3 across the overall statement of accounts, closedown and capital. Co-ordinate closedown and make sure that everything is happening on time. Will be responsible for inputting some of the notes and disclosures to the statement of accounts. Co-ordinating and managing the capital monitoring of the monthly report generated by the team. They already have a Capital Accountant who will be doing more of the technical capital work. VAT & treasury oversight. Will have involvement of some inputting for LGR process for capital and the statement of accounts.
Successful candidates will: Have experience managing a small team within corporate finance. Have experience overseeing/completing closedown and producing the statement of accounts for a local authority.
