Summary: The Interim Finance Manager will play a crucial role in supporting operational colleagues to achieve the organization's mission while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This position involves leading the financial year-end process, assisting with audits, and providing high-quality financial support across the organization. The role requires collaboration with budget holders and project managers to enhance financial performance and controls. The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of a new finance system and support the finance team in achieving timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality support and advice during financial month and year-end close-down.
• Act as a business partner to budget holders and project managers.
• Internally audit and review all balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Assist budget holders with financial tasks during month and year-end close-down.
• Manage the production of monthly management accounts.
• Support the finance team for accurate and timely transactional processing.
• Lead on balance sheet forecasting and cash flow forecasting.
• Monitor and maintain financial controls for key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
• Coordinate and deliver the annual statutory audit and end-of-year accounts.
• Recommend improvements to financial performance and controls.
• Support the implementation of the new finance system.
• Provide ad-hoc support to the finance team and wider organization.

Key Skills:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering results collaboratively.
• Strong understanding of financial management and reporting processes.
• Experience in leading audits and year-end financial reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting practices and financial controls.
