Summary: The Finance Manager role is a 6-month contract position with a fast-growing fintech firm in London, focusing on shaping financial strategy during a period of expansion. The position requires overseeing financial functions such as reporting, budgeting, and forecasting while ensuring compliance and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management within a scale-up or private equity-backed environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Providing strategic financial analysis and insights to senior leadership
- Managing month-end close processes and ensuring accuracy in financial statements
- Supporting cash flow management and forecasting
- Leading financial compliance and ensuring VAT and tax returns are up-to-date
- Assisting with financial system improvements
- Supporting the CFO with ad hoc financial queries and projects
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to improve financial visibility and decision-making
Key Skills:
- Experience in financial management, ideally within a scale-up or PE-backed company
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
- Experience with VAT compliance and tax returns
- Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or pursuing qualification
