Summary: The role of Finance Manager involves overseeing financial and management accounting tasks for a charitable organization, focusing on financial forecasting, budgeting, and the preparation of financial statements. The position requires managing daily accounting operations and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The successful candidate will also coordinate annual audits and improve financial systems and procedures. This is a hybrid position based in north Oxford near Kidlington, with an immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Manage one staff member.
  • Production of financial statements and management accounts.
  • Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Meet financial accounting objectives.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Qualified By Experience.
  • Proven working experience as a Finance Manager for a Charity.
  • Good knowledge of Charity SORP.
  • Local to Oxford and able to commute to the office.
  • UK Right to work.
  • Managerial experience.
