Summary: The Interim Finance Director role is a newly created position within a leading Music SaaS Scale Up in the UK, following a successful Series A funding round. This 6-month contract offers significant influence at the board level, focusing on the integration of new funding and overseeing the finance function. The role also involves strategic decision-making and enhancing the finance operations to support the company's growth. The position is outside IR35 and has the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing monthly and year-end reports and overseeing management accounts
- Providing commercial support, strategic analysis, and decision support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
- Business partnering with SLT
- Managing the P&L and balance sheet
- Building relationships with external accounts and assisting with queries
- Improving the quality of variance analysis and assessing time utilization
- Leading the growth strategy from a finance perspective
- Building and restructuring a best-in-class finance function, implementing new processes, and assessing system efficiency
Key Skills:
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA Qualified
- Creative industries background (Music, TV & Film, Live Entertainment, Marketing / PR Agencies)
- Experience in scale-up journeys
- Royalty accounting experience (bonus)
