Summary: The Interim Finance Director will play a crucial role in a high-growth, multi-channel business, providing strategic financial leadership to support expansion across various markets. This position involves close collaboration with the CEO and Board to drive financial strategy and ensure robust operational controls. The role also includes oversight of HR and IT functions, making it integral to the company's overall performance and governance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Provide clear financial insight to support commercial decision-making across multiple revenue channels.
  • Partner with the CEO and Board on overall business strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Oversee all core finance functions including accounting, tax, treasury, and reporting.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and governance across UK and international entities.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse performance across retail, wholesale, and digital channels.
  • Support pricing, margin optimisation, and profitability initiatives.
  • Provide financial input into key commercial agreements with major customers and partners.
  • Manage financial operations across international subsidiaries and import/export activities.
  • Oversee FX exposure, tax efficiency, and global cash flow management.
  • Lead consolidation and intercompany accounting processes.
  • Lead and develop the finance function.
  • Oversee HR and IT functions.
  • Work cross-functionally with key departments including Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain.

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience operating at Finance Director or Head of Finance level.
  • Background in multi-channel or multi-site environments (retail, wholesale, and/or e-commerce).
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and board-level decisions.
  • Experience managing international operations and multiple entities.
  • Expertise in cash flow, working capital, and scaling businesses.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Hands-on and adaptable, with experience working in fast-paced environments.
  • Desirable: M&A experience.
