Summary: This role is for an Interim Finance Director at a leading media business in London, focusing on overseeing financial operations during a period of significant change, including M&A and system improvements. The position involves leading a team of accountants, managing financial planning and analysis, and supporting the CFO in strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finance leadership and a strong background in accounting practices, particularly under US GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and mentoring a team of accountants across the UK, EMEA, and beyond.
• Overseeing financial planning and analysis, accounting/control, revenue, and transactional finance.
• Supporting the CFO in business planning, strategy, and financial forecasting.
• Managing audit, technical accounting, and statutory reporting for the group.
• Handling consolidated accounting and providing insights to executives.
• Leading the transition of ownership structure and potential exit.
• Recruiting and developing a high-performing finance team.
• Performing ad hoc duties as required.

Key Skills:

• Qualified accountant with several years of experience as an FD/CFO.
• Experience overseeing accounting functions and exposure to US GAAP.
• Proficiency in SAP and SAP BFC.
• Strong people management skills with a track record of recruiting and developing staff.
• Ability to operate in a matrix structure and engage in day-to-day operations.
