Summary: The Interim Finance Director role in Bristol is a hands-on leadership position aimed at guiding a well-established business through a significant transition. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the outgoing Finance Director to ensure continuity and stability within the finance function. This position requires a commercially astute finance professional with a strong background in finance leadership. The contract is for 6 months, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a capable finance team (4 direct reports + wider team)
- Oversee management accounts, variance analysis, and financial approvals
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and software providers
- Troubleshoot and resolve finance-related issues as they arise
- Maintain operational stability and confidence during the transition period
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (FD or equivalent)
- Strong technical and commercial finance background
- Comfortable working fully on-site in a fast-paced environment
- Able to start within the next one-two weeks
- Experience with Acex Financials and/or Isaac ERP is desirable but not essential
