Interim Finance Director | B2B SaaS Scale-Up | 6-Month Contract

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a rapidly scaling B2B SaaS Scale-Up to find a Finance Director to report directly into the CFO. There is a high likelihood this will transfer to permanent employment after 3 months if all progresses well. We therefore actively welcome candidates to apply who have not contracted before.

Our client has developed breakthrough technology which is utilised by world leading institutions across the UK, US, and beyond. They are a mission driven business with a fantastic culture. They are entering a period of growth and change – so are therefore looking for someone who is open to a hybrid working model, where they can collaborate with the wider finance team, across department and provide key leadership.

The Role

This role reports directly into the CFO, and will have management responsibilities for the growing finance team of 6. The role will have both technical and FP&A elements to it which requires a strong understanding of financial reporting as well as commercial finance and strategic acumen.

Duties

• Manage and develop a finance function of 6 with the view to continue scaling it for the future.
• Build out a highly effective FP&A function and processes, to include dashboards providing key pieces of analysis.
• Provide strategic insights and analysis to inform long-term planning.
• Suggest and implement improvements to financial controls and accounting processes.
• Oversee the financial reporting, audit and accounting elements.
• Support with preparation for the audit, including statutory accounts under UK GAAP & US GAAP.
• Make continuous improvements to financial systems.

Essential Skills

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Previous experience in a VC or PE backed environment, within SaaS.
• Strong leadership and team management skills (at least 4 people managed)

Bonus Skills

• Experience using NetSuite.

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: £700-900

Location: Central London (2-3 days per week in the office)
