Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand, analyze, and challenge the finances of the business area.
  • Own the monthly accounting process, ongoing forecasting, and business planning processes.
  • Accountable for month-end reporting, including insightful commentary on key variances.
  • Prepare and present Management Information and other financial reports.
  • Collaborate with other Finance Business Partners for timely monthly reporting.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place for accuracy of financial results.
  • Establish systems and processes for adequate and accurate reporting.

Key Skills:

  • Strong, concise communication style.
  • Previous experience partnering with non-finance teams.
  • Experience using NetSuite is desirable.
  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA.

Sewell Wallis is working with a dynamic, innovative business based near York, North Yorkshire, who are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner on an interim 3 month basis. This Finance Business Partner role will be heavily process focused during the 3 months, a strong technical skillset and someone who has previous experience successfully completing temporary assignments would be desired, due to the need to hit the ground running in this role. Working with and supporting the FBPs/CFO and Head of Business Units, being responsible for understanding, analysing and providing challenge to the finances of your business area Own the monthly accounting process, together with on-going forecasting and the business planning processes. Accountable for month end reporting, including adding insightful commentary on key monthly variances for the results and embedding mitigations and new process where necessary. Preparation and presentation of Management Information and other financial reports Collaborate with other Finance Business Partners to issue timely and detailed monthly reporting out to the business to ensure they have clear sight of actuals against budget and forecast. Ensure appropriate controls are in place and adhered to, to enable accuracy of the financial results and a supportable balance sheet. Ensuring systems and processes are in place for adequate and accurate reporting What skills do you need?
