Interim Finance Business Partner

A leading organisation in the automotive sector is seeking an Interim Finance Business Partner to join their Warwickshire-based team, supporting operations across the EU region. This is a unique opportunity for you to play a pivotal role as the single point of contact for finance-related matters, working closely with management and stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with international standards. As an Interim Finance Business Partner based in Coventry, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where your ability to connect with people across functions will be essential.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve acting as a trusted advisor for EU markets, guiding management through complex financial decisions while ensuring all reporting meets stringent international standards.

• Serve as the primary finance contact for EU markets, providing expert guidance on all finance-related queries while fostering strong collaborative relationships with local management teams.
• Validate business cases and commercial deals by applying rigorous analysis to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and industry benchmarks.
• Ensure timely, transparent, consistent, and accurate financial records and reporting submissions in full compliance with IFRS Accounting Standards as well as local statutory laws and corporate policies.
• Support the development, rollout, implementation, and maintenance of financial services programmes throughout the region to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Assist both internal and external audit processes by preparing comprehensive documentation and facilitating clear communication between auditors and relevant departments.
• Collaborate closely with central business controlling teams on forecasting and planning activities to drive informed decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
• Monitor and analyse complex financial data sets to produce insightful reports that inform business strategy and support continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll need… Proven experience in a similar finance business partnering role within the automotive industry or retail network business is essential for success in this position. A strong understanding of vehicle sales processes combined with experience working within global or European organisations is highly desirable. Certified Accountant status (such as ACCA or CIMA) is required along with up-to-date knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards. Demonstrated ability to adapt financial services approaches according to differing country requirements across Europe is crucial for effective collaboration. Exceptional data analysis skills paired with advanced proficiency in producing detailed financial reports are necessary for this role. Excellent organisational abilities including multitasking and prioritising workloads efficiently within tight deadlines are expected. A flexible approach to teamwork, enjoying close collaboration but also excelling independently - is important for thriving in this environment. Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems would be advantageous but not mandatory. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are needed to engage effectively with diverse audiences at all organisational levels.
