Summary: The Interim Finance Business Partner role involves supporting the Head of Human Resources during a digital transformation at a leading global services group in Greater Manchester. The position requires expertise in financial business partnering to enhance performance through budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will engage with senior leadership to provide insights and manage financial processes effectively. This contract role is expected to last between 4 to 6 months, offering a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial support to the Head of HR and their team, offering clear insights.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and forecasting cycle.
  • Deliver concise financial reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Senior Finance Team.
  • Chair meetings with senior leaders to review expenditures, highlight issues, and provide necessary financial challenges.
  • Assist in preparing Quarterly Business Reviews and Annual Budget presentations, including attendance at review meetings.
  • Develop and produce relevant departmental reports and KPIs for informed decision-making.
  • Support month-end reporting processes with the operational finance team, improving forecasting accuracy.
  • Manage forecasting, tracking, and reporting for capital expenditure.
  • Collaborate with internal and external audit teams as required.
  • Perform any additional ad hoc financial tasks or project work as necessary.

Key Skills:

  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified accountant with 3 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in Business Partnering, demonstrating the ability to challenge and add value.
  • Ability to provide data-driven insights effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence paired with strong analytical skills.
  • Capability to build relationships across all levels within the organization.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; Power BI/Cognos advantageous.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and maintain performance during tight deadlines.
