Interim Finance Business Partner

What will you be doing?

• Partnering senior operational and commercial stakeholders across the business
• Helping stakeholders understand performance and what is driving the numbers
• Leading forecasting and supporting budgeting and planning
• Analysing revenue, margin, costs and overall business performance
• Identifying risks and opportunities and helping the business decide what to do about them
• Building scenarios around different opportunities, investments and decisions
• Supporting business cases and commercial decision-making
• Improving management information, reporting and analysis
• Understanding profitability and performance across different areas of the business
• Challenging assumptions and bringing insight into decision-making
• Improving financial understanding and accountability across the business
• Looking at processes, reporting and finding better ways of doing things

What are we looking for?

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong background in Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance or FP&A
• You’ll need to be analytical, commercially curious and confident working with senior stakeholders
• We want someone who can take a set of numbers, understand what is really going on and explain what it means for the business
• Someone who asks questions
• Someone who spots things
• Someone who enjoys working with people outside of Finance and can build relationships quickly
• You’ll need to be comfortable operating at pace, dealing with change and working in a business where there is always plenty happening
• Experience within a high-growth, PE-backed, listed or similarly fast-paced business would be particularly interesting
• Most importantly, we need a strong Finance Business Partner who can influence, challenge and genuinely help the business make better decisions
