Summary: My client, a rapidly growing FMCG business, is seeking an interim Finance Business Partner to support their established sales team. This role involves developing strong relationships with the sales team and influencing strategic decisions. The successful candidate will provide financial insights and support to enhance sales performance and decision-making. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and influence Sales in producing robust customer plans, covering volume, price, investment and margins.
- Actively attend sales business reviews and team meetings making relevant challenges where appropriate. Leading the financial aspects of the review.
- Challenge and support the development of the financial assumptions that underpin the sales plans.
- Work with Sales to prepare annual budgets and reforecasts, providing strong financial support throughout.
- Prepare monthly volume and customer/channel P&L analysis, providing deep insightful commentary on key variances that can be used to influence forward planning to ensure full year budgets and forecasts are delivered.
- Assess financial aspects of customer joint business plans and contracts using established financial evaluation tools providing relevant challenge and recommendations.
- Continually strive to improve processes and systems.
