Summary: The role of Interim Finance Business Partner involves collaborating with key stakeholders in a Public Sector organization based in Edinburgh to enhance financial management and decision-making. The position requires monitoring budgets, preparing management accounts, and reviewing business cases, with a focus on effective communication and relationship-building. This is a hybrid role, necessitating office attendance twice a week, and is initially contracted for three months with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with key stakeholders across the business to support them with their financial management and decision-making.
- Monitoring spend against budget, updating forecasts and providing guidance on financial planning.
- Running a smooth month end process including preparation of the management accounts with supporting analysis and commentaries.
- Preparing and reviewing business cases, particularly for ongoing projects.
Key Skills:
- An accomplished finance business partner, ideally with some experience in the Public Sector.
- A qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA).
- Confident in using MS Excel to at least an intermediate level, navigating and manipulating large data sets.
- Effective in building relationships outside of finance and influencing decisions.
