Summary: The Interim Finance Business Partner role involves supporting a national not-for-profit organization by partnering with Regional Directors to enhance financial insight and performance across multi-site operations. This hands-on position requires a strong understanding of financial management, including P&L analysis, month-end processes, and budgeting. The role is expected to evolve into a permanent position after 12 months, with a focus on improving financial awareness and operational insights. Candidates must be willing to engage at all levels of the organization and have a hands-on approach to financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Regional Directors and Service Managers, helping them understand and manage their P&Ls.
- Provide analysis on labour cost, occupancy, income and package funding.
- Support month-end for multiple sites, including hands-on preparation and journal posting.
- Deliver rolling forecasts every 2–3 months and support the annual budgeting process.
- Work with AP, AR, billing and GL teams on high-volume data and operational insights.
- Help improve financial awareness across the organisation through coaching and education.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including reporting enhancements and system upgrades.
Key Skills:
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified ideally
- Very strong Excel skills; comfortable working with large, manual datasets
- Experience supporting multi-site operations is essential (e.g., hospitality, retail, healthcare, transport).
- Able to simplify and communicate financial information for non-finance stakeholders.
- Must have a hands-on approach and be willing to get into the detail, not just “big picture”.
- Enjoys change and able to operate in a transforming organisation.

This is a hands-on role supporting multi-site operations, partnering with Regional Directors, and helping to drive financial insight and performance across a large and fast-moving services portfolio.
