Summary: Finance Business Partner opportunity available for a six-month interim assignment within a large innovative Public Sector organization in Cardiff. The role involves supporting the Senior Finance Leadership team in driving the finance team forward, with a focus on budget preparation, management accounting, and financial oversight. The position requires immediate availability and offers a supportive team environment with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the FBP in the annual budget setting process, including preparation of the Financial Plan for Operational Budgets and Wider Investment Fund Revenue & Capital budgets.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly board pack for internal and external stakeholders, providing up-to-date information on Project, Programme, and Portfolio levels.
  • Lead Management Accounting arrangements for specific Projects, offering timely financial advice and support to Project Managers.
  • Review and input into the Business Case process, providing financial oversight to mitigate risk and monitor spend and performance.
  • Develop financial models to support the Innovation & Investment Framework and individual projects.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent.
  • Recent Public Sector experience.
  • Immediately available.

Salary (Rate): 350
