Summary: The Finance Analyst role is a six-month fixed-term contract based in the South East, focusing on supporting the finance team with internal and external reporting, financial controls, and commercial analysis. The position requires collaboration with senior finance leadership and operational teams, along with mentorship of junior staff. The organization promotes in-person collaboration while allowing for flexible working arrangements. Candidates must be immediately available or on short notice to be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and oversee work produced by junior team members, including journals, funding requests, and debtor reporting, while providing guidance and mentorship
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting across core operations and joint ventures
  • Monitor and report on outstanding debtors, ensuring timely follow-up
  • Support the maintenance of a robust financial control environment, including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with half-year and full-year external reporting requirements, working closely with central finance teams and external auditors
  • Partner with operational teams (e.g. commercial, development, sales, and marketing) to provide financial insight and support decision-making
  • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
  • Produce ad hoc analysis and reporting, particularly relating to joint venture activities
  • Provide general support across the finance function as required

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrates strong professional values such as integrity, collaboration, and quality
  • Solid academic background, including strong secondary education results or equivalent
  • Holds a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall IT skills
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and numerical abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills
  • Desirable Experience: Experience within construction, property, or a related sector; Familiarity with ERP systems

We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join a regional finance team based in an office location in the South East.
