Summary: The Interim Facilities & Compliance Assistant will support the Facilities and Compliance Manager in maintaining the UK facility in line with Health & Safety policies. This role involves providing essential equipment to operational teams, contributing to project strategies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The assistant will also manage procurement processes, facility maintenance, and stakeholder communication to uphold operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Facilities and Compliance Manager in the organisation and maintenance of the UK facility.
- Provide necessary equipment to operational and office teams.
- Contribute to future project strategies and implement policies and standard operating procedures.
- Follow and lead by example on all Facility Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain building structure, plant, leases, asset register, maintenance contracts, and waste removal.
- Take an analytical approach to procurement processes and maintenance works.
- Attend operational meetings to provide H&S guidance and updates.
- Plan facility needs and communicate with key stakeholders.
- Control supply and cost management of operational and office consumables.
- Monitor and manage Health & Safety compliance for the UK entity.
- Facilitate and implement H&S standards with all staff.
- Maintain H&S policies and procedures and liaise with the HSE.
- Conduct safety audits and liaise with the Fire Consultant.
- Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets.
- Liaise with 3rd party communications contractors.
- Maintain sustainability reports and gather data on facility-related tasks.

12-months cover Onsite (5 days a week) Support the Facilities and Compliance Manager in the organisation and maintenance of the UK facility, and in accordance with Health & Safety Policy. Be the support function for the Operational and Office teams in providing necessary and essential equipment to perform their normal duties. Contributing to future project strategies, champion and implement policies and standard operating procedures. Follow, champion and lead by example on all Facility Standard Operating Procedures. Uphold the maintenance and organisational requirements of the following: Building Structure internal/external. Plant. Leases (equipment). Asset Register. Maintenance contracts. Waste Removal. Take an analytical approach, alongside logical and practical methods, to fine tune procurement processes, maintenance works (planned/unplanned) with minimal distribution to the business. Attend Operational bi-weekly/monthly to provide H&S guidance and regulations changes, plus updates on any planned works and provision of consumables. Take a very proactive approach to the planning of facility’s needs/requirements, assist in peak planning and actively communicate with key stake holders. Control Supply and cost management of Operational & Office consumables. Contribute to the day-to-day monitoring and managing of Health & Safety for the UK Entity: Liaise with external consultant ensuring compliance with all UK H&S legislation. Facilitate and Implement H&S standards with all LG UK staff, ensuring compliance from all levels. Maintain all H&S policies and Procedures Liaise with the HSE, where necessary. Safety audits Liaise with the Fire Consultant Main Fire Marshall for the Facility Establish important relationships with key stake holders to ensure effective production throughout the operation. Assist Facilities and Compliance Manager in the preparation of departmental budgets to minimise fluctuations in Facility overhead cost throughout the year. Liaise with 3rd Party Communications contractors – Telephony and Mobile phone issues. Maintain sustainability (ESG) reports and responsible for data gathering of facility related tasks.
