Summary: The Interim Exit Support Consultant will collaborate closely with the CFO of a mid-market private equity-backed business to prepare for an upcoming transaction. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in Transaction Services or Deal Advisory, offering hands-on experience throughout the exit lifecycle in a dynamic environment. The consultant will engage in financial analysis, data preparation, and stakeholder management, ensuring the company is ready for due diligence and transaction execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the CFO in exit readiness and transaction preparation
- Deliver detailed financial analysis to support the equity story
- Prepare and organise data rooms and supporting documentation
- Act as a key point of contact for external due diligence providers
- Coordinate and respond to Q&A during the diligence process
- Assist in the creation of financial packs, presentations, and supporting materials
- Provide post-deal support, including handover and transition activities
Key Skills:
- Background in Transaction Services / Deal Advisory from a Big 4 firm, or similar
- 1–3 years in industry with exposure to PE-backed environments or transactions
- Strong financial analysis and data handling skills
- Experience supporting or exposure to due diligence processes
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders and external advisors
- Able to operate in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment

A mid-market private equity-backed business is seeking an Exit Support Consultant to work closely with the CFO in preparing the business for an upcoming transaction. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently trained in Transaction Services or Deal Advisory at a Big 4 firm, or is looking for their second role in industry, and is looking to gain hands-on exposure to the full exit lifecycle within a fast-paced PE environment.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in supporting the business through exit, working alongside the CFO and investors to ensure the company is fully prepared for due diligence and transaction execution. The role offers broad exposure across financial analysis, data preparation, and stakeholder management, with direct interaction with external advisors and investors.
