Summary: The Interim ESG Data Management Consultant will join a sustainability team focused on enhancing data management practices to drive sustainability initiatives. This hybrid role involves assessing and improving data collection methods related to GHG emissions and energy usage while collaborating across departments. The consultant will develop internal processes for ESG data management and create reports for stakeholders, contributing to the organization's sustainability goals. The position is based in London and offers an opportunity to impact green real estate practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current methods for collecting and reporting GHG emissions, energy usage, and resource consumption
  • Recommend improvements for seamless data collection, ensuring transparency and alignment with Science Based Targets (SBT) and other industry standards
  • Lead the development of internal ESG data management processes, ensuring clarity and accessibility for stakeholders
  • Act as a bridge across departments, working with finance, accountancy, and operations to ensure cohesive data management
  • Align GHG inventory reviews with corporate objectives and Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) requirements, and explore innovative pathways for decarbonisation
  • Enhance data integration methods, supporting effective reporting on Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions
  • Create informative, engaging reports for asset-level and portfolio-wide data for internal use and external stakeholders, including lenders and investors
  • Present ESG metrics and performance insights, offering recommendations for improvement and areas for efficiency gains

Key Skills:

  • Experience with GHG protocols, sustainability reporting frameworks, and decarbonisation methodologies
  • Ability to distil complex data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
  • Real estate, property, or construction experience preferred, with familiarity with MEP and building management systems as a plus
