Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise and solution architecture within a large-scale technology environment.
  • Define and drive architecture strategy across AI, infrastructure, data, applications, and business processes.
  • Mentor a team of architects and analysts.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to shape a long-term technology roadmap.
  • Ensure technical decisions align with enterprise standards and industry needs.
  • Support the implementation of a long-term digital strategy.
  • Build relationships and credibility with the wider business and IT stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • A background in Enterprise Architecture or a similar senior strategic IT Architecture role.
  • Ability to lead the architecture function and capability.
  • Experience in developing relationships with business stakeholders and influencing C-suite executives.
  • Architecture support for digital strategy implementation, including platform management and AI.
  • Experience across IT challenges such as infrastructure, cloud, security, applications, and data.
  • Understanding of demand pipelining and transformational project management.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture standards and best practices (e.g., TOGAF).
  • Able to mentor team members for long-term development.
  • Experience managing funding in a public sector environment.

Salary (Rate): £750.00 Daily

Network IT is currently recruiting for an Interim Enterprise Architect, to join our client in the West Midlands on a 6 month initial contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead enterprise and solution architecture within a large-scale, complex technology environment, in a sector with dynamic challenges. You'll define and drive the architecture strategy across AI, infrastructure, data, applications, and business processes, ensuring all technical decisions align with both enterprise standards and the evolving needs in a challenging industry sector. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor a team of architects and analysts, collaborating with senior stakeholders up to the C suite level, to shape a long-term technology roadmap that supports digital transformation and operational efficiency. Role: Interim Enterprise Architect Duration: 6 Months Status: Outside IR35 Rate: Negotiable Location: West Midlands Working Pattern: 3 days per week onsite Key Skills:
  • A background in Enterprise Architecture, or a similar senior strategic IT Architecture role
  • Ability to spearhead and lead the architecture function and capability, with a team of architects currently in place
  • Develop the relationships of the architecture function with the wider business, and other stakeholders in IT, building credibility and influence to C suite and across the leadership team
  • Architecture support to the implementation of a long term digital strategy, which will include key areas of IT such as platform management, data management, application alignment and AI
  • Balancing long term thinking and strategy, within a complex and dynamic industry setting
  • Demonstratable experience across a wide range of challenges within IT - infrastructure/cloud/security/applications/data
  • An understanding of demand pipelining, time modelling and sequencing transformational projects
  • Strong understanding of architecture standards, governance, frameworks and best practice (eg. TOGAF)
  • Able to the mentor the current team, for long term development of current key resources within the team
  • An understanding of managing funding within a public sector environment, facing off with governance boards for sign off eg. Local government, central government, NHS or education
