Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working with a local authority in Yorkshire on an exclusive basis to recruit an Interim Director of Legal and Monitoring Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a competent, respectable team and award winning legal team.

Key Responsibilities of the Director of Legal and MO locum

• Leading the legal, democratic, data protection and complaints teams
• Taking on the statutory Monitoring Officer duties
• Sitting within the senior leadership team for the authority
• Hybrid working with at least one day per week in office
• Dealing with code of conduct breaches, member complaints
• Attending full council meetings

Desirable Skills and Requirements of the Director of Legal and MO

• Looking for someone senior and strategic
• Previous experience as Director or MO
• Previous experience working in the public sector and specifically local authority
