Summary: The Interim Compliance Consultant role is a six-month contract position based in London, focusing on providing compliance advisory support within a leading insurance organization in the Lloyd's and London Market. The consultant will engage in various compliance areas, including financial crime, sanctions, and conduct risk, while promoting a strong compliance culture across the business. This position requires a hands-on professional capable of operating independently and delivering robust regulatory support. Candidates must have relevant insurance sector experience, particularly within Lloyd's or the London Market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day compliance advisory support to underwriting, claims, and operations teams
- Support the business in managing financial crime and sanctions obligations, including risk assessments, screening, and escalations
- Oversee and contribute to conduct risk initiatives and reporting
- Assist in the interpretation and implementation of regulatory developments affecting the business
- Engage with stakeholders across the business to promote a strong compliance culture
- Support wider compliance monitoring, training, and policy activities as required
Key Skills:
- Proven compliance experience in the insurance sector (ideally within Lloyd’s / London Market)
- Strong knowledge of UK regulatory requirements including FCA expectations
- Practical understanding of financial crime and sanctions regimes
- Experience working with conduct risk frameworks
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the business
- Immediately available or on a short notice period
