Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on corporate data analytics and contribute to the development of a new database.
- Analyse commercial and financial data across services to inform strategic planning.
- Support business performance monitoring, capital project tracking, and the implementation of improved internal reporting.
- Produce high-quality reports and insights for senior managers and elected members.
- Promote commercial awareness and improve data processes across the organisation.
- Deliver projects aimed at validating results and standardising reporting across multiple service areas.
Key Skills:
- Strong background in data analysis and commercial finance-ideally gained within local government or a large public sector setting.
- Confident using complex financial systems (Oracle experience preferred) and Excel-based tools for data manipulation and insight.
- Able to work with large data sets and translate technical findings into clear, actionable outputs.
- Effective communicator with experience presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- High integrity with a commitment to managing confidential commercial data responsibly.
