Summary: The Interim Commercial Finance Manager role is crucial for supporting a London-based Prop-Tech company's growth through financial modeling and commercial insights. Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with commercial and business development teams to deliver high-quality financial models and analysis for upcoming projects and bids
  • Support the evaluation of new business opportunities, providing detailed P&L, cash flow, and valuation modelling (including NPV and IRR)
  • Undertake sensitivity and scenario analysis to support negotiation and deal structuring
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure financial inputs align with commercial objectives
  • Review and assess lease and contract terms to confirm that financial assumptions and underwriting reflect the intended commercial outcomes
  • Offer challenge and financial guidance on business cases, pricing models, and investment decisions

Key Skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with solid experience in a commercial finance role
  • Advanced Excel user with strong financial modelling capability; confident with Index Match, Sumifs, Pivot Tables and other advanced functions
  • Experience developing pricing models and supporting RFPs, bids, or tenders
  • Exposure to outsourcing, property, or asset-heavy industries advantageous
  • Strong analytical ability with sound commercial acumen
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Confident communicator who can influence and build strong relationships across teams
  • Comfortable working with multiple currencies and understanding the financial impact of different commercial scenarios
  • Familiarity with Power BI or Power Pivot is beneficial
  • Knowledge of lease accounting (IFRS 16) and its impact on commercial decision-making would be an advantage
