Summary: A fast-paced and progressive business in Northampton is seeking an Interim Commercial Finance Business Partner for a 6-month assignment, offering a daily rate of up to £375. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the finance lead for commercial activities, providing insight, support and challenge to the commercial team
  • Lead commercial budgeting and forecasting activities, with a strong focus on margin and performance drivers
  • Deliver clear, high-quality reporting and analysis to support decision-making
  • Own cost and pricing models, supporting pricing strategy and customer negotiations
  • Partner with NPD teams to assess financial viability and support products to market
  • Develop and track KPIs, highlighting risks, opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Contribute to monthly planning and performance cycles, including presentations and reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement across commercial finance processes

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong commercial finance or business partnering background
  • Proven experience with costing and pricing models
  • Excellent analytical skills with advanced Excel capability
  • Confident communicator, able to influence and challenge stakeholders
  • Hands-on, delivery-focused and comfortable operating in an interim capacity
  • Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Exposure to new product development finance
  • Experience working with BI or reporting tools

Overview of the role: A fast paced and progressive business in Northampton are looking for an Interim Commercial Finance Business Partner for a 6 month assignment, paying up to £375 per day. The role will pay full focus to supporting the commercial function during a critical period. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing insight, challenge and financial guidance to drive informed decision-making across pricing, forecasting and commercial performance. The role is offering hybrid working, but with regular site presence.
