Summary: The role of Interim Transformation Chief Financial Officer involves leading a turnaround project for a private equity-backed business with significant challenges. The position requires a strategic leader with experience in financial transformation, integration execution, and growth enablement within mid-market companies. The CFO will build a scalable finance function and serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team and investors. This is a temporary role expected to last 6-9 months, focusing on both UK and international operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build a global, scalable finance function including people, infrastructure, processes, and systems.
- Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and trusted advisor to investors.
- Lead the financial strategy for post-acquisition integration and long-term value creation.
- Develop and execute business plans, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead integration planning and execution for mergers or acquisitions, including financial systems, reporting, KPIs, and culture alignment.
- Establish and track synergy realization and integration milestones.
- Drive operational efficiency and working capital optimization across all business units.
- Identify and assess strategic growth opportunities including organic expansion, pricing strategies, and inorganic M&A targets.
- Support due diligence and financial modeling for tuck-in acquisitions and strategic investments.
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor and accelerate growth trajectories.
