Summary: The Interim CFO will lead the establishment of a finance function for a European infrastructure investor during a critical growth phase. This role involves building financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks from the ground up while partnering closely with the CEO and investors. The position requires frequent travel to Ireland and is expected to last between 6 to 12 months. Immediate start is required for this pivotal role in financial management and value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish the full finance function from scratch (processes, reporting, controls, governance)
- Own all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash management
- Build, maintain and improve financial models to support investment proposals and value-creation planning
- Develop KPI dashboards, management reporting packs and investor materials
- Oversee external advisors (audit, tax, banking, legal)
- Support commercial decision-making and operational performance across operating assets
- Ensure compliance, financial discipline and scalable infrastructure as the business grows
Key Skills:
- Experienced CFO or senior finance leader with a track record in private equity or infrastructure-backed environments
- Strong background in building or transforming finance functions in small / early-stage or carve-out settings
- High competency in financial modelling, investment analysis and supporting transaction-related activities
- Understanding of operating assets and regulated / infrastructure environments
- Hands-on, independent operator comfortable working with limited existing processes
- Able to work on-site in Ireland as required
