Summary: The Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will join an AIM-listed technology business during a transformative period, reporting directly to the CEO. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on financial management, overseeing a small finance team while engaging in investor relations and potential M&A activities. The successful candidate will provide financial insights and recommendations to support the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, control, planning, forecasting, tax, and treasury.
  • Deliver insightful monthly management accounts, budgets, cashflow forecasts, and board papers.
  • Oversee statutory reporting under IFRS, half-year and annual results, and liaise with auditors and advisors.
  • Manage investor relations, including RNS announcements, investor presentations, and results reporting.
  • Support the CEO on fundraising, M&A, and transaction processes.
  • Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and business processes.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, Nomad/broker, banks, legal/tax advisors, and registrars.
  • Provide commercial input into tenders, RFPs, pricing models, and material contracts.
  • Lead and develop a small finance team.

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA or equivalent).
  • Significant senior-level finance experience, including within an AIM-listed environment.
  • Comfortable in a small-company, fast-paced setting, combining hands-on management with strategic leadership.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage effectively at the Board and investor level.
  • Highly proficient in Excel with strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.

The Opportunity

Our client, an AIM-listed technology business, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its leadership team during a period of change. This role represents an exceptional opportunity to join a fast-growing and entrepreneurial organisation.

The Role

The incoming CFO will report directly to the CEO and play a key role as both a strategic leader and hands-on operator.
