Summary: The role of Interim CFO involves leading the finance team of a not-for-profit organization for a duration of 3-6 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing statutory financial accounts, managing cash flow, and implementing audit recommendations. This position requires a qualified finance professional with experience in the not-for-profit sector, particularly in education. The role demands a high level of accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on the production of statutory financial accounts
- Ensure that finance elements of the annual report are completed in time and to a high quality including the financial elements of the remuneration report
- Supervise and finalise completion of the monthly returns to the regulator
- Forecast and manage the balance sheet including capital assets, working capital balances, provisions and reserves
- Oversee the management of the cash flow
- Implement internal and external audit recommendations specific to financial processes
- Oversee day-to-day management of the financial ledger and budgeting systems, and undertake enhancements and reviews as necessary to ensure timeliness, accuracy and validity of data
Key Skills:
- ACCA, ACA, CCAB/CIMA qualified (essential)
- Previous experience within not for profit sector ideally Education
- Experience in statutory accounts preparation (essential)

Interim Chief Financial Officer required to join a not for profit organisation for a 3-6 month interim role. My client is looking to secure an experienced professional interim who can lead the finance team.
Key responsibilities of the Interim CFO;
- Lead on the production of statutory financial accounts
- Ensure that finance elements of the annual report are completed in time and to a high quality including the financial elements of the remuneration report.
