Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including movements, disposals, impairments and write-offs
  • Perform asset verification through site visits or virtual reviews
  • Undertake asset impairment reviews
  • Support internal and external audits, including annual reports and external reporting requirements
  • Ensure accurate and compliant recording of transactions in the ERP general ledger, improving efficiency and financial controls where possible
  • Contribute to financial reporting to ensure accurate understanding of performance and position across the Group, with strong control over sub-ledgers and general ledger integration
  • Provide high-quality financial support, maintaining effective process control and operational excellence
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate testing and evidence

Key Skills:

  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in relation to capital accounting or capital projects
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • Experience working with ERP systems; familiarity with SAP is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
